Charcoal For Your Face?

Blackheads? Yes. Everyone struggles with their skin at some point in their lives. Right now, I am constantly battling the black spots dotted across my nose. No matter how much I exfoliate, squeeze, and rub, they never seem to disappear. UNTIL... Charcoal soap. I'm not going to lie, it did take a few days for this to kick in. Don't let the color fool you, this bar of soap can do wonders to your skin. It gets rid of all the gunk in my pores and leaves my face feeling fresh and clean. It also heals impurities and detoxifies your skin. This product can be used on your face or your body. I would definitely recommend looking into charcoal soap if you are looking for a new way to battle impurities on your skin.

Check out this soap- you won't regret it!

Spring Lips

My friend and I invaded the beauty department of Target last week and I discovered these beautiful lipsticks. I picked up these two- 745 Peach Poppy and 670 Ravishing Rose from the Maybelline Color Sensational collection. These gorgeous shades are quite balmy. They have a light consistency which is great for neutral make-up on a spring day! However, you can make a very pigmented and bold lip if you desire. I tend to use these lightly on my lips, just to add a pop of color. These are just a few of the shades that Maybelline had to offer. They also had some amazing red, vivid, and nude collections. These two shades will do for now as they are bright and perfect for spring/summer makeup.

Thanks for reading and check out these lipsticks at Target or any drugstore!

Lots of love,

Naked Basics 2: Matte Lovin'

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful spring weather. I had a nice, relaxing weekend at home with some family and friends a couple weeks ago for Easter break. Now, I'm ready to push through this last month of school and get back home for the summer!!

Now onto the reason for this post. I was recently gifted the Naked Basics 2 Palette and it is a BEAUTIFUL palette! I've never been much of a shimmer girl so this selection of neutral matte colors are perfect for me.

Skimp has a bit of shimmer, but I use it as a highlighter under my brows. Stark is the next shade and covers up the purple discoloration on my lids. It is a perfect color for brightening up my eyes!
Frisk (can I just say I just LOVE the names for these colors.. I'm weird I know..) is a taupe color with a slight gray undertone. Although it looks pretty brown in the palette, it has a grayish tint to it. It adds a good smokey effect to the eye. Next is the color called Cover and its just a nice coffee shade that I usually put in my crease. Primal has a bit more brown in it and I use just a bit because a little goes a long way. I'm going to be honest and say I'm not one to wear dark colors like black on my eyes. However, I have lined my eyes with Undone a few times and I love the way it looks on my eyes. All of these eye shadows glide onto my eyes super easy and they are so smooth.

I think the best way to use this palette is by using a variation of the colors because they look amazing
together. I've been using this palette for weeks and I am loving it! It's super small for travel and has just the right colors for daily wear. This is my new favorite addition to my makeup bag.

Thank you for reading! All the love,

Meg

Live Love Lush

It's bath time everyone! I just recently took yet another trip to the lush store and here are some of bath products I picked up. Both of these products are limited addition for the Spring Easter collection.

How cute is this little guy? This one is called Bubblegrub is an adorable caterpillar that is filled with
organic shea butter that makes my skin silky smooth! This bubble bar smells just like chocolate and
the eyes are actually made out of two kinds of chocolate for a sweet and creamy bath. This critter made my bath super bubbly and my skin was very hydrated due to the creamy ingredients. I smelled like sweet vanilla after taking this moisturizing bath. The scent was not too strong like other bubble bars I've used. This guy is only here for the spring so get him while you can!!

I also picked up the Fluffy Egg bath bomb as Easter is on its way and I was feeling festive. This is simply an amazing bath bomb. It's bright pink color and cotton candy scent are the perfect combination for spring. This sweet bomb smells a bit like the Comforter or the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar.

I love indulging in a bath every once in a while and taking time for my self to relax. If any of you are stressing, take time to detox and reenergize yourself with a lush bath of your choice. It is hard to detach yourself from reality but, trust me I know and I'm a college student. After taking time for yourself, you won't regret it because you will feel x100 better. Lush is one of my favorite stores so there will probably be more posts like this in the future. Hope you enjoyed this review.

Stay beautiful lovelies
